Many thanks for continuing to develop J.
I have just tried to download the J tgz file from:
https://code.jsoftware.com/wiki/System/Installation/J903/Zips
Firefox immediately reported an insecure link:
http://www.jsoftware.com/download/j903/install/j903_linux64.tar.gz
I fixed the problem by copying the link to a new tab on my browser and
changing it to:
https://www.jsoftware.com/download/j903/install/j903_linux64.tar.gz
This fixed the problem and Firefox allowed the download. I checked the
file using ClamAv and found no threats. Two suggestions come to mind:
1. maybe provide a GPG or SHA256 code to check against an altered zip file.
2. maybe start using a package management process
The first could help increase the chances of a correct download. The
second is a lot of work but could be the safer option.
