By the way, in Eclipse at least, it seems one has to delete the local copy
of the file and download it again ("Override and update") to pick up the
change. I think this even applies to the user that changed the file type
originally.

If the type change does not get picked up, then it is likely to revert next
time the file is updated.

I've been having the same trouble with one or two of the Jmeter files.

Perhaps Subversion handles this better...
