Is it possible to commit to hadoop given I have worked at google in the past and used the original mapreduce and bigtable to write applications? Would I need to seek google's permission, or have they already given blanket permission? Are there legal entanglements?
I am not a lawyer. In general, Apache doesn't care who your previous employers are. It is your responsibility to make sure that you don't contribute code that you aren't authorized to license to the ASF. A more appropriate forum for questions like this is [EMAIL PROTECTED] .
