Hey, Thanks to everyone who came out for the Apache Hadoop Hackathons in Palo Alto and San Francisco last month. There have been a lot of requests for a similar event in LA, so we're doing it! The Hadoop Hackathon in LA will take place on Wednesday June 22nd, right before the LA HUG, hosted by Shopzilla. Cloudera's Aaron Myers (Hadoop committer) and Eric Sammer (Solutions architect) will be on hand to facilitate. Whether you're a sysadmin or devops and want to help build and test Apache Hadoop or a developer looking to get their first patch into Hadoop, this is a great chance to learn how it's done.
