the consensus on the previous thread was that it would be a good idea to have a single directory where the tarballed code referred to in the grants could be drop during IP clearance. this gives a canonical version of the donation in a central location for later reference (if that's ever needed). this would only be done after the software grant has been acknowledge by jim but before the final IP clearance.
no one jumped in with a suggestion so unless anyone can come up with a better location, i'm going to specify http://svn.apache.org/repos/asf/incubator/public/trunk/site-author/ip-clearance/drops in the updated IP clearence documentation (which should arrive sometime today). - robert
