It's worth noting a significant difference between that thread's
discussion topic and this one: in that thread, the source code with
reserved rights (meaninglessly-so or otherwise) was included in the
project, whereas in the case of OpenJPA, the NOTICE is identifying a
restriction on one of the binary jars that OpenJPA depends on. So, the
notification (and text in the license file) is describing licensing
limitations imposed on OpenJPA as a distributor of serp, and does not
have any impact on the code in the OpenJPA svn repository.
