Niclas Hedhman commented on INCUBATOR-97:
-----------------------------------------

I have been corrected by William Rowe (one of the stronger legally affluent in
ASF) that the CCLA is not a requirement for the ASF. It is a paper that might
be required for the individual to be able to sign the ICLA. It is the
responsibility of the individual committer to understand if the CCLA of its
employer is needed or not. In doubt, try to get it. It is for the protection of
you, the committer, in case the employer later says; "Doh, that is our IP. You
had no right to contribute that."

> The company that a committer work for must acknowledge that the employee(s)
> in question are allowed to work on Apache projects.
> In this case, that is Cisco, and we have no CCLA at all on file from Cisco.
