I think for a lot of (NetBeans) folks lurking in these threads, it will be useful to know what voting means, who can vote, what 'binding votes' are, etc etc. From the NetBeans side of things, we're a large community and lots of us are following all this and maybe someone can point us Apache newbies to the precise context in which we're currently finding ourselves in right now.
