Hi, -1 (binding) as package is missing DISCLAIMER, LICENSE and NOTICE. I can also see that chardet is still a LGPL Category X dependancy.
I checked: - incubating in name - disclaimer is missing - no LICENSE or NOTICE file - no binary files - all source files have ASF headers - can compile/install It might be a good idea to create a release checklist and follow that when voting.
