It is not the norm to name the release files in this form: apache-resilientdb-1.11.0-rc0-incubating-src.tar.gz
The -rc0 part should not be there. Having the -rc0 in the directory name makes sense: https://dist.apache.org/repos/dist/dev/incubator/resilientdb/1.11.0-rc0 The files need to be moved to the dist/release area anyway once the vote passes (and the directory is renamed to remove the -rc0 bit as part of this). It is not the norm to rename the files though. The point of the vote is that we vote on the release candidate and what we vote on gets released if the vote passes. Renaming the files after the release vote does not match this requirement (in my opinion). I'm not sure if this is not allowed at all or if it is just something that most teams avoid. Have a look at other recent votes on this list to see that including the -rc<number> in the file name is at least unusual.
