I love my Macs, and won't go back. However, I wouldn't use a Mac in production - the bang for the buck isn't there for a box you don't interact with. Develop on the mac, deploy to linux or solaris. To me, it's a great desktop box for Java development. To that end, it would make sense if there was good J2EE support.
