You don't even use the IDE, preferring the console. This may be fine for
learning the core language, but is not a good way to learn the system as
a whole. You don't like that the ijx window is not a session log - but
it is not worth rejecting it for such a trivial reason. It is not
sensible to ignore the IDE that is provided and then complain that you
need to build a programming environment from scratch.
