Despite of what Joey is saying, it's undeniable
that in good printed typesetting APL symbols
look attractively expressive.
Unfortunately, due to limitations of past technologies,
attempt to render screen APL fonts were not always
as good looking.
However, more recent facilities to render screen fonts
present new possibilities to bring the aesthetics appeal
of printed APL to the screen. Such as antialiased fonts
and ClearType sub-pixel rendering.
APL has the advantage of expressing many terms in one
symbol, and it uses familiar intuitive symbols instead
of new ones that need to be learnt.
