Hi all,
I may be going to San Francisco, end August or beginning September. I
don't have a driver's licence and have never even driven a car before in
my life (cars are very expensive here in Singapore and not that useful
because public transport is quite efficient and convenient). The two
times I have been to the US (Atlanta and Phoenix in 2000 and 1994
respectively), I travelled with my boss, who loved to drive. This time,
I am travelling there with my wife, who also does not know how to drive.
I'm wondering how to get around, since I will need to go down to
Sunnyvale, in addition to San Francisco. Are taxis a good idea? How are
the buses there? Also, what's a good place to stay? I remember very
vaguely that Motel 6 was pretty cheap and convenient, but since I have
to shuttle between Sunnyvale and San Francisco, I'm wondering what would
make most sense.
Any help would be deeply appreciated !
