No war wanted here: but I have just this last point before I leave the discussion: Thanks for your appreciation. I am a US citizen. Always have been. But I think the bad will from this very obtrusive check far outweighs any benefits. Do you really think they catch anyone this way? In addition, there are no such checks at, say, the Juarez/El Paso road border. So if I have a print on file, there is my route to the homeland. Meanwhile, a zillion airplane passengers are smirking at the false sense of security the nifty finger scanners are giving. I am all for real security. But not for false security just to calm the masses.
