I('m kinda of the opinion it makes not much difference, 'Publican or
Demo, they're all greedy. Back in the 50's, I registered 'Publican in
'57, I thought the Republicans had the right ideas. When Reagan was
elected Governor of California, I think was the beginning of the decline
of the U.S. education system. I was teaching then and the California
system started to c rumble. He was the last Republican I've voted for.
He and the hippies wanted a similar ed system, but for different
reasons. Before R.R. the California educational system used State
published text books. If you went to school in National City or Hilt,
California you had the same book and were on the same page the same day
of the term. We were either the top rated bunch of students or the
second or third in the nation. The hippies wanted "freedom" to teach
what they wanted, and R.R. wanted to cut his buddies in the publishing
business in on the graft. Because Calif. uses so many books, the whole
country is more or less obligated to use the same bunch of crap they put
out now. If you want to see how this bunch of S**t is put together read
"The Language Police".
Well, I'm getting all roilled up, gotta quit!
Bob
