Thanks, yes I'm willing to start initiate thse efforts.  Here are some
threads from arch-general you may want to look at get an idea of what I
have in mind:

Access to the security mailing list would be good.  I'm thinking that
it might be better to have a security (for discussion) and a
security-announce list (that has only the announcements) that only
certain members can post to.  This is how Debian does it and it seems
sensible.

It's late here in the UK now and I have to go to bed.  I also won't be
able to do any work on policies and processes till after this weekend.
