Hello guys, sorry for the delay on the answer
NP, just take your time.
- About the emails not being uniform (and even not being available),
yeah that's true and i am aware of it and considered something to be
worked around.
Hm, like said, i guess that this is probably the hardest solution you
could find, since the emails could be, like already said different for
every project as well as every release. Guess that this could be most
probably be done manually.
- Checking the AL tree is a nice one, or even check other distro's
with larger team but then i would have to choose carefully which one
to bind my pkgbuilds. So what is our stability policy compared to
debian or ubuntu-lts (could mention centos and opensuse as well)?
Hm, we discussed this, and there are a couple of sources for the answers:
http://wiki.archserver.org/index.php/Release_Cycle
http://bbs.archserver.org/viewtopic.php?id=25
http://bbs.archserver.org/viewtopic.php?id=28
So the baseline is, that we are pretty equal to the aforementioned
distros (lts that is). So, I guess, that this is most probably a good
solution to watch out for one of these distros. Problem could be, that
other distros could choose different package versions (like mentioned
already in the previous email with AL and their kernel version).
Thanks for the inspiring answers,
You are very welcome.
