Omnilogic is a software engineering company primarily using Free and
Open Source Software. We have several projects running at the moment,
which requires warm bodies with a certain degree of intelligence and
aptitude to execute.
Other than requirements specific to the job which we are advertising
for, below is a list of general attributes that we look for in the
people that we hire:
1. *Actual interest* in the field which you are applying a job for.
It becomes much more enjoyable earning a living doing something
you like.
2. Good personal hygiene. It is recommended to shower at least twice
a day, one of those times before you turn up at the office.
3. An appreciation of pop culture. Having interests other that just
work can, under certain circumstances, be considered a good thing.
4. The ability to read and write in English. Other languages are good
too, but we still teach Science and Maths in English in our neck
of the woods, which is as it should be.
