I understand that standard TCP demuxing is based on the four-tuple, but I didn't think we were talking TCP but rather on the NIC L2 MAC HW dispatcher that has to decide to which input queue (QP if you want) it should place a frame that reached the card, so this dispatcher has the L2, L3, L4 (and maybe also the DDP) headers and I understand that the Chelsio card does so based on the L3 and L4 info.
