Agreed. Ofed and mpis don't ship often enough to create incompatible releases (ie we should be able to handle them separately through qa in both sets of release procedures).

Since things aren't designed to cleanly inter-operate with each other in anything other than very specific combinations, it means that updates are an all or nothing affair.
