Glad you look into Exam2. To explain the current status:
Exam2 was forked about a year ago from Exam1. It is meant to be a cleanroom,
very customizable osgi testcontainer swiss armies snife and detach from
Exam1's strength but also most prominent drawback: tight coupling to Pax
Runner + Junit4 API.
Both is done already, now after M1 release (december) i did not touch much
so far.

But, things are moving, i am (at least this full week) full time on Exam2.
Most work is currently undergoing in dependency projects (Pax Tinybundles +
Pax Repository (new)) which will be incorporated these days.

Once this is done we are heading a Milestone 2 release. After M2, i want to
consider Exam1 fully deprecated and just concentrate on Exam2.
This is really the point i want to hit as fast as possible, so we can go
back to organized things (Issue-Tracker driven development).
