Michael, forget the workaround, zip executor is broken in 1.7.2.
I fixed this issue (http://issues.ops4j.org/browse/PAXRUNNER-395). You can pick up the fixed build here [1] for testing purpose. If nothing speaks against it, i will cut the 1.7.3 release at the end of the day.
