I will look at whats wrong with J9 VM.
Right now, i just have the standard Oracle JVMs on Linux + the standard 1.6
JVM on MacOSX as a reference system.

I tried to get J9 installed on a Fedora quickly, but the installer (wtf???
why installer?) failed with "Installer failed.".
Now that does not make it satisfying to make things work on other platforms
.. ;)
Will keep trying.
If someone wants to point me to a ready to use binary zip of any other JVM
to be supported, just point me to it. I just don't have the time to mess
with IBM Installers right now :(
