Hi Harald,
with Pax-Web I have the same annoying behavior.
I think it's somehow triggered by the "WebHook URLs" hook at github.
There might be a better solution available by now since I think either
Jenkins is able
to "monitor" or github provides a better hook for it.
But this is about it and I didn't had the time for a deeper investigation :/

same repository, it appears that any push to any branch triggers both
build jobs in parallel.
