Toni, I know you're too IntelliJent, but poor me is using Eclipse every day, and I do all my work on Pax Exam and other OPS4J projects in an Eclipse workspace (3.7.1. + m2e 1.0.200).
There used to be problems with workspace resolution in Pax Exam projects, but most of these should be solved by now, and I've never seen any issues with property resolution.
Of course, there's more than one way of using (and breaking) Eclipse, and Vladimir didn't even mention if he's working with m2e or PDE or bndtools or whatever...
