I was thinking to myself earlier this week ... Whatever happened to the Tizen competions? They were GREAT.
We had various Tizen competitions in 2013 and 2014 (both global and regional) when we didn't have Tizen mobile devices, and now we actually have the Z1 and Z3 launched and want to grow the ecosystems we aren't doing the competitions anymore (unless I missed some?) Could we bring them back? I think that would be a great way to draw discouraged developers back to the Tizen eco-system. We aren't talking about some theoretical future revenue source for them anymore. We are talking about millions of handsets already sold in multiple countries, and that rapidly growing. With the Z3, we're talking about a capable quad-core device which can run seriously impressive applications. I think a new big money Tizen competition could really have a big impact right now.
