Thanks for responding,
The kernel should be like any other linux kernel, but the source provided at opensource.samsung.com has a lot of other packages included with it. The development environment given on the Tizen site does not help when building a tizen kernel. A generic armeabi gcc toolchain does not work either when trying to build the kernel. Check Tizen doc or Wiki https://wiki.tizen.org/Category:Tool If in a hurry there is a crash course video at end of this presentation: https://www.slideshare.net/rzrfreefr/tdc2015strategydevel20150916 Some flows here for ARTIK but it could be adapted for Mobile profile (2?) https://s-opensource.org/2016/08/15/introduction-tizen-development-artik/ Good luck On Thu, Jul 12, 2018 at 7:01 PM, <[email protected]> wrote: I am trying to compile the kernel provided by Samsung for the Z2, but I cannot figure out what development environment is correct. What toolchain do I need for it to build and will I have to build all the packages? Or just the kernel zImage?
