Hello, i found out that renaming a blog is not possible. But as Dave told me below that we could create a new blog and declare the old Log4PHP blog as "outdated".
Before we do that, I would like to know if somebody else is interested in filling the life of the blog together with me. My proposed topics are: - recent development activity - releases - team changes - solved discussion which are important for the project and so on. I think especially for the Log4J community it would be good to read something new on some kind of regular basis. Together with the other projects we can create a nice to read blog with more than 1 entry each year :-) If there is interest, I will ask for the new Logging Services blog. Thoughts or even volunteers? :-) Best regards, Christian ---------- Forwarded message ---------- From: Christian Grobmeier <[email protected]> Date: Wed, Jun 2, 2010 at 4:56 PM Subject: Re: Changing the Blog-URL To: Dave <[email protected]> Cc: Apache Infrastructure <[email protected]> > It is not possible to change the "handle" of a blog via the Roller Web > UI because that handle is used in URLs. > > And while it is possible to change the handle via a database hack, you > have already been publishing a blog at http://blogs.apache.org/log4php > for some time now -- so changing could possibly break links that have > been established to your blog. > > Instead of changing the name of the old blog, I would recommend > starting a new blog and posting one last blog entry at log4php that > tells people that the new blog is at http://blogs.apache.org/log4php. > Will that work for you? Yes this will work for me indeed. I jsut wanted to ask, sometimes there is an easy change. I will ask my project if they are finally willing to do blogging and the ask for a new blog on jira. Thanks for this information!
