I recompiled again WITHOUT pthread support (among other things) and it now runs fine,
it does not hang.
Either a bug in pthreads under Red Hat 6.1 OR a bug in mnoGoSearch, the way it uses it.
Or maybe one of the other yes/no options when running the install perl script. But
this smells like a good culprit :-)
