Hello,

I have installed the version 3.2.3, and now the substring match works with search.cgi.
Unfortunately, I cannot use the php frontend, as the debian php package (v4.1.2) does
not include the mnoGoSearch extension, and I don't want to enter into the apache/php
compiling dungeon. :(( Also, as I have read, there are many problems with mysql
extension and other name conflicts...

So, my question: do I need to use the php frontend? Does it give any extra features
compared to the cgi version?

Another question: can I somehow 'cascade' the search.cgi in a way that I can use php
code inside search.htm? As I have understand, it is not possible by default, even if I
use the php frontend. Please correct me if I am wrong.
