The chandler.log file is telling me that in the beginning you tried to run the RPM version of Chandler and may have a copy of Berkeley DB already installed and for some reason our Chandler startup code is finding it instead of our local version. Later errors are pointing to the fact that Chandler is getting confused as to where the repository files are located.

What is the exact command that you are using to start Chandler - including the path/directory? I'm guessing that one of the environment variables we depend on is not being set properly.

Thanks for being so patient while we figure out the exact issue you are having!

the ~/.chandler tells me the startup code is recognizing that it's on linux and that is great - can you post here the list of files that were created in the .chandler directory?

Attached.

I'll also pass on to the app team the error message your getting to see if they can make something of it - if not, then I'll post a patch here to the startup code to generate some very explicit debug code so we can track down the exact problem if you don't mind doing some python debugging :)

Pfew, never done that ;-). I assume it will be limited to applying patches and copying output here.

Cheers
