What version of Outlook are you using? I haven't had much success convincing Outlook 2003 to export to ics, and last time I checked, Outlook 2003 rejected all the perfectly valid ics files I tried to get it to import. But I'd be happy if someone out there could tell us how to get Outlook to deal sanely with iCalendar.
