My seven cents:
- Regarding The "Sidebar" PDF - I'm sure Newbies is supposed to be
replaced with something less colloquial, but is this "Newbies" meaning
new developers or new users? Are we planning on user and/or sysadmin
docs? i.e. how to deploy, how to share, etc?
- Regarding subsections.. here's my take on Chander front-end,
here's a first stab:
- CPIA - some very general CPIA concepts - i.e. how blocks and
widgets relate, how we use wxWidgets, etc - leaving out
BranchPointBlock for now:
- Blocks and Widgets
- Events
- Using wxPython APIs
- Advanced CPIA
- AttributeEditors
- BranchPointBlock
- The Chandler View (i.e. the root CPIA block)
- The Sidebar
- KindFilter buttons and views
- The Calendar View
- The Detail View
- The MiniCalendar and Preview Areas
- Scripting
- Testing: Functional Tests
I'm probably leaving some stuff out here, but its a decent first cut I
think...
It saddens me a bit that the developer documentation makes up such a
tiny part of Ted's graph, but that's probably only a reflection of how
we developers need to be giving him more feedback...:)

Hi folks,
I know that people aren't always able to get to messages in
general@, so I'm sending this request directly as well. I just posted
a note with the current status of the portal project < http://lists.osafoundation.org/pipermail/general/2006-April/000219.html>.
We could use some help from domain experts on parts of the taxonomy
for the portal. It would help a lot if you could take some time to
look at what's there and give us some idea of what categories you think
would be relevant to your team and/or projects. Dont' feel that you
need to make diagrams or whatever. A reply to general with your
thoughts would be great -- we'll take care of trying to sort it out.
You're getting this message because either a) you work in an
area that's been hard for us to flesh out or b) I have the impression
that you really care about what's up with the portal/website/wiki. I
know that folks are busy right now, so if you feel that you don't have
the time, please let me know so (no pressure intended).
Thanks,
Ted
