Highlights:

+ We discussed performance as a risk for Preview.
   - Jared will propose performance targets for the service (which puts
requirements on Cosmo).
   - The Chandler team will revisit performance targets for Preview.
   - We'll hold the release if we don't make performance goals.
   - We'll allocate resources on both projects to work on performance.

+ We discussed branding and how we'll adopt the new name.
   - Our tenet for making decisions about branding deliverables: "Good
first impression".
   - We're going to pick *one* new name, and use it as the user-facing
name for all of the projects: web client, desktop, service, server.
   - "Chandler" and "Cosmo" will not go away as project/code names, at
least in the Preview timeframe. We'll need some transition time as
people already know the projects by these names, and we won't have time
to do a major purge by Preview anyway.
   - We'll prioritize changes to user facing materials (the website and
wiki, user interfaces). We'll likely not make changes to mailing list
names (cosmo-dev, chandler-dev).

+ Scott Rosenberg's book "Dreaming in Code" is coming out Jan 16. Sheila and I met Scott to give him an update on what OSAF is up to. We'll do a post on the OSAF blog that Scott can reference when the book comes out.

+ We had a couple of discussions about QA. Aparna is back and we hired Adam full time, expanding the team. The team is working out its responsibilities to the osaf.us service. Aparna is writing summaries to the list to provide more communication about QA projects and activities. Aparna will join us at ops meetings.

+ We had an initial conversation about the "launch plan" at Preview. We'll start a bigger discussion on one of the lists, after the holidays.

+ We have a few tshirts and hats available to give as thank-yous to volunteers. Send Pieter an email to nominate someone for a thank-you.

+ A small set of developers at OSAF need to have access to data on the
osaf.us server for debugging/troubleshooting purposes. We're going to
create a mailing list, whose membership defines the set of people who
have this access. The list will also provide a forum for discussing
problems and issues. The ops team will determine the list membership.

Cheers,
Katie
