Wow, the look and feel are a huge improvement, and well worth the relatively short wait. Now that I see this, I'm glad we punted on incremental visual upgrades to the old one.

One thing I noticed -- when I see the OSAF logo next to the Cosmo logo on the Cosmo page:

Maybe it's just by way of comparison, but does the OSAF logo look a little blurry/fuzzy?

I also notice we now have a working favicon.ico! Very slick.

Excellent work, y'all.

The OSAF public wiki is about to be updated to a new version (this Wednesday). A test site showing how things will look and work after the update is here:

It would be helpful if you took a few moments to see if you can find problems in the pages you visit or maintain regularly.

This is our *distributed QA* for the new wiki.

Please feel free to make any changes at the test site above; the live site won't be affected in any way if you do. You should continue using the live wiki site exactly as normal for regular work.

I'm planning to update the production wiki this Wednesday afternoon (if no showstoppers are found), starting at 3:30pm. This will require about an hour of work, and all wiki access will be unavailable during this time.

Below is a list of known changes/fixes. A separate list of updates/enhancements will follow after the update itself.

* The look-and-feel has been locally tuned, but is based on the more modern default skin. So things have moved around a bit; please pipe up if anything seems jarring.

* /bin/view is no longer presented in URLs on the site. Access to pages will work with or without this prefix.

* There is some Javascript in the implementation of the standard templates.

* Authentication (login) is now done via HTTP forms, instead of browser pop-up auth. This means you can logout now too.

* The Know, OSAF, Sandbox, and Trash folders have not been copied over. The four interesting pages in the OSAF web have been moved to the Journal web. Pages not copied can be retrieved easily.

* Table alignment now works again. (This hasn't worked for a while, so some of your tables may suddenly acquire cell alignment they didn't have before).

  * Section includes now work again (ask for a tutorial if needed)
