Ah, good point. I guess the left hand sidebar would the other candidate. But I agree, the tagging workflow is such that tagging is sort of onerous and perhaps not very helpful. Perhaps we can ix-nay the tag feature until someone asks for it again?

Recently, Mimi asked about putting the "tag" functionality in the right-hand navigation available on some pages in the new site design.

Some thoughts and complications:

* The right-hand navigation isn't designed to be on all pages. Currently, the implementation requires embedding code/tags into each page one wants to have a right-hand nav. I assume that we want to be able to tag any page at all. So right now, the right- hand-nav doesn't seem a great candidate to me.

* Are we sure we want to keep the tagging functionality? There have finally been some use in the last day or two, but we went months without anyone tagging any pages. Even so, no one's asked how to say, search through tags yet.

The existing location, now that breadcrumbs are back, is clearly ugly. So we're tracking the open issue in bugzilla #8600. For now, I've broken the tag onto a new line under the breadcrumb just to see how that looks.

If the conversation goes towards "but I thought we were putting the right-hand-nav everywhere", sadly there are technical problems with that and that's not what's been built for Preview so far. If that was the intent, let's call that out now and have a conversation about where we're at and what we can get consensus on for next steps.
