Hello,

I have finally pulled together an elevator pitch and product description for the landing page. I imagine this can also be reused in various forms on the wiki.

Highlights:
+ Anchored product description around Inbox.

+ Described main workflows in ways that hopefully resonate with people: Yea, I wish I could do that. OR Yea, I have that problem.

+ Tried to define sharing in more concrete terms, as opposed to generic collaboration.

+ Concrete description of what the product is, including open source and standards-based for those who care.

+ Also thought it'd be good to define what we mean by Preview, or at least what we expect to get out of it and why we're bothering with a Preview release, as opposed to shooting straight for an 1.0.

Run with it. For people who use their Inbox as their task list, Chandler picks up where your Inbox leaves off.

Manage everything from a central Dashboard. Stay focused without losing track of the things you can't get to right away. Tickle items to cycle back into focus automagically.

Schedule meetings and events across multiple calendars.

Send, edit and update messages to work with others on specific tasks. Share Dashboards and Calendars that are integrated into your personal work space yet easily accessible to others on the web.

Chandler consists of a desktop client and Chandler Hub, a sharing service and web application. Chandler is open source and standards- based.

Our goal for Preview is to test drive Chandler and collect feedback that will in turn, guide our efforts to a more robust and responsive 1.0!
