Hi Shinsuke,

I think we should all spend sometime reviewing the projects. We can call for a vote, but I don't think its really necessary according to charter
Are there licensing issues with the gadgets and widgets?

Thanks,

David

Hi all,

I'm developing Groupware portlet application at PALab project(*1)
of SourceForge.jp, and it's provided as N2 Collabo(*2) under
Apache license. At the moment, although I put it on SF.jp,
I would like to move it from SF.jp to Apache Portals Applications(APA)
as a sub-project in order to be widely used.

According to APA site, any Apache Portals committer can lead
the creation of a new APA subproject. Therefore, I would like
to do that and know the process to create APA sub-project(need
a vote in pmc alias?).

The feature/plan of N2 Collabo is below:

o The source code/product is under Apache license
o JSR 168 compliant portlet.
o The supported platform is all JSR 168 portals.
o A candidate of the project code is "collabo".
o The target portlet applications to move to APA are:
 - Scheduler
 - Address List
 - Facilities Management
 - Message Board
 - Timecard
 - TODO List
 - Bookmark
 - Chat
 - Notepad
 - User Management
(not including Google Gadgets, Netvibes Widgets,
  Virtual File System)
o Currently, the above portlets are separated war files.
They will be integrated into 1 war file because of
  memory usage problem.
