You can update it whenever you want, the trunk version for the portals-pom is
now 1.3-SNAPSHOT.
I expect that, with the upcoming apache 7 pom, which should "solve" several configurations problems and provide a default solution for a
source distribution, we will upgrade and release a new portals-pom in a near future.
So, adding changes like this better be done right away imo.
