Will the new appp.device fix the problems I am having with NTL? I can
get connected every time (thanks to the setting from SWAUG), but when
I start to download (NG Headers, lots of e-mails or files from the
web) it keeps the connection up but it stops downloading. Then it
crashes :-(
This has only been happening over the last month. Before that it was
fine and I could download as much as I wanted, free. Now I get about
5-30 seconds of continuous downloading and it stops. If it is getting
NG Headers and I am quick I can 'abort' and disconnect / reconnect and
'Check Newsgroups' again. When I have the headers it is okay because
it is only getting a few K for each posting. It only happend when the
receive light is on for more than 5 seconds.
If anyone can help I would appreciate it. I upgraded to NC3 so I
could take full advantage of the free NTL service but now I can hardly
use the internet at all.
