The vapor site has details about the latest versions. Best get
the answer direct from there.
Vapor has a partial implementation of JavaScript, No JAVA,
and no CSS2. There are quite a few features of HTML4.0
which it doesn't implement also. It is not very reliable when Perl
scripts at the server level want it to do things - e.g. it doesn't
deal with cookies reliably.
Some members of this discussion group say it crashes a lot,
but I haven't found that to be so.

I don't know. Every now and then people talk about
"socks", but I don't know what that is. Hopefully someone else will
answer that point.
There is an FAQ for Vapor which you'll see advertised from time to
time on this group. I have read it, but as far as I can recall it
doesn't say what Socks is or how to enable it.
