Leave it turned off or uninstall it until it works.  The firewall will
block ICMP traffic (pings).  Although the PC will show you receiving
them (depending on how you've got ZoneAlarm setup), it will not reply
to the ping.  I.e. the Amiga will show 100% packet loss even though
the packets are arriving at the PC.  

Also, if you want to ping the Amiga from the PC.  The firewall has to
know that that application (ping) is allowed to transmit packets
across your network, again it should ask you but this may depend on
how you've got it setup as you can activate/de-activate warnings in
ZA.
