It's only a maximum assuming there is no _data compression_ going on. I'm
aware there's factors that slow things from maximum possible. Even the
phone lines can, and there's always some protocol overhead as well. But
I'm consistently getting only a fraction of 33.6k, not just temporarily
dropping below it. Altogether with compression, I should be getting better
throughput it seems. Though it doesn't seem too aweful slow, just not what
it "should" be.
