The grayscale coloring for your PSL example at http://genome.ucsc.edu/goldenPath/help/hgTracksHelp.html#PSL is very effective for the linked blocks, but less effective for the name text for each block (e.g. FS_CONTIG_48080_1), because this text is barely readable for low-scoring, light-gray records. It might be preferable to always display name text as black (or as some -dark- 'base' color), regardless of the track color, track file format, and whether useScore=1 or not. Then the color of a displayed block would convey the score, while the name text would remain very readable, regardless of a block's score.
