Hello, You are viewing the main assembly browser window graphic and the controls for what data is presented.
Some help to understand the overall content can be found by clicking into the Help & FAQ pages (top blue navigation bar). In particular, click on Help, then follow the links to the Open Helix "The UCSC Genome Browser Introduction" tutorial http://www.openhelix.com/downloads/ucsc/ucsc_home.shtml For individual tracks, click on the track names to view what data is being represented and how the display is organized specifically for that track. For tracks in general, click into the FAQ -> Genome Browser Tracks or other FAQ areas to understand how information is represented graphically. If you prefer data in file format or through a mySQL interface, try the Table browser, ftp files from Downloads, or use the public MySQL server. We hope this helps you to get started, Thanks, Jen ------------------------------------------------ Jennifer Jackson UCSC Genome Bioinformatics Group ----- "Peng Yu" <[email protected]> wrote: > From: "Peng Yu" <[email protected]> > To: [email protected] > Sent: Saturday, November 21, 2009 8:40:12 AM GMT -08:00 US/Canada Pacific > Subject: [Genome] Where is the legend for genome browser? > > Hi, > > I look for the meaning of the symbols used in genome browser.
