Hi,
Recently, I was trying to upload a BedGraph file to the archival mm6
database, http://genome-mm6.cse.ucsc.edu/cgi-bin/hgGateway. The file uploads
fine; that is, there are no errors reported on the Manage Custom Tracks page,
and the track is accessible in the track table. However, trying to return to
the genome browser (either by clicking on the track table's Pos link or by
returning to the Genomes page and entering a locus manually) produces a page
with the message "can not find customTracks DB conn info in hg.conf" and
nothing else. Googling this message doesn't turn up much - just another entry
in this mailing list that I don't really understand.
I also tried uploading the sample BedGraph track from the BedGraph Track
Format page, and got the same result. So I doubt it's a bug in the file - is
the ability to upload BedGraph tracks disabled for older version of the mouse
genome?
If you need me to send the BedGraph file in question, just let me know.
Cheers,
Greg
