Hello Charu, The comparison of an insect to mammal at the nucleotide level is not expected to be very informative (or reliable - we do not recommend liftOver even for mammal to mammal comparisons, instead the Conservation track is the preferred source).
To gather some information, there is the Human Proteins track included in most other genome assemblies. This would be a reasonable source to search for homologous protein->translated genomic sequence regions between genomes, even distance genomes. Good luck with your research, Jennifer ------------------------------------------------ Jennifer Jackson UCSC Genome Bioinformatics Group ----- "Charu Gupta Kumar" <[email protected]> wrote: > From: "Charu Gupta Kumar" <[email protected]> > To: [email protected] > Sent: Monday, December 14, 2009 6:39:55 AM GMT -08:00 US/Canada Pacific > Subject: [Genome] Request for liftOver files > > Hi, > > > > I was wondering if you will be doing a comparison between Human and > honeybee > genomes?
