Hello, I was able to find your first marker all of the human assemblies on the main UCSC web site http://genome.ucsc.edu -> Genome Browser -> Human assembly, by entering the search term "D14S75":
Human GRCh37 Assembly (hg19) STS Marker AFM214YG5 Chromosome: chr14 Start: 37427727 End: 37428001 Band: 14q13.3 Other names: D14S75, SHGC-54, RH49038, 214YG5, GC378-D14S75, RH1119, RH12983, RH15244, RH3631, RH53474, RH85514, HS214YG5, STSG728 etc ..... The second term also was found. The original data will be at NCBI as a record if you are unable to find it in an assembly supported by UCSC. The data can also be extracted from the Table browser in batch by using the track STS Markers and pasting/uploading identifiers. http://hgwbeta.cse.ucsc.edu/goldenPath/help/hgTracksHelp.html#TableBrowser An ftp of the entire data for you to examine/process yourself is also possible. Several tables will need to to capture the entire data set (click on the "view table schema" button on the track description page or in the Table browser to see the set). In general for all tracks, the mySQL table data would be found on the Downloads server as a gzip text file at: common name -> assembly -> annotation database -> <table>.txt.gz http://hgdownload.cse.ucsc.edu/downloads.html http://genome.ucsc.edu/FAQ/FAQdownloads#download1 Hopefully this will get your started, please let us know if you need more help, Jennifer ------------------------------------------------ Jennifer Jackson UCSC Genome Bioinformatics Group ----- "PAUL J BENKE, MD" <[email protected]> wrote: > From: "PAUL J BENKE, MD" <[email protected]> > To: [email protected] > Sent: Tuesday, December 15, 2009 8:28:09 AM GMT -08:00 US/Canada Pacific > Subject: [Genome] DO YOU HAVE MAP OF OLD NOMENCLATURE MARKERKS? > > DO YOU HAVE MAP OF OLD NOMENCLATURE MARKERKS? > > > > Specifically, where on chromosome 14 are D14S75 and D14S306? > > > > How do I find these markers? > > > > Thanks > > > > paulbenke > > > > Paul J.
