Hello Felicity, Changing the background display color is not a user defined option when using the main UCSC Genome Browser. Were you to run your own local mirror, this would be possible by going into the main code base and altering the default color coding there.
Saving a screen shot as a image or the browser display as a PDF file, then altering the colors using an editing/illustration program is an option, but may take some work to tune. If you are interested in learning more about mirrors, the link below would be a good place to start. The downloaded source also contains README files that provide specific set-up/configuration details: http://genome.ucsc.edu/FAQ/FAQlicense#license4 If we can be any future assistance, please let us know, Jennifer ------------------------------------------------ Jennifer Jackson UCSC Genome Bioinformatics Group ----- "Felicity Jones" <[email protected]> wrote: > From: "Felicity Jones" <[email protected]> > To: [email protected] > Sent: Sunday, January 10, 2010 5:26:19 PM GMT -08:00 US/Canada Pacific > Subject: [Genome] array custom track > > Dear UCSC, > > I'm using the microarray custom track to display some genotype data. > > I was wondering if there is a way to custom-modify the colour scheme > options? > > In particular, would it be possible to change, the "red/blue on white > background" to "red/blue on yellow background"? > > Many thanks, > > Felicity. > -- > ____________________________________ > > Post Doc > Kingsley Lab > HHMI & Stanford University > Stanford CA. 94305. > ____________________________________ > _______________________________________________ > Genome maillist - [email protected] > https://lists.soe.ucsc.edu/mailman/listinfo/genome _______________________________________________ Genome maillist - [email protected] https://lists.soe.ucsc.edu/mailman/listinfo/genome
